The Finest New Singing Bowl in the World
The Lingam Bowl is the pinnacle of new singing bowl craftsmanship. Exclusive to Himalayan Bowls, we work with one of the most skilled craftsmen in Nepal able to create and carve lingam bowls. Lingam bowls are more concave on the inside than other singing bowls, helping produce a more hollow and enchanting sound. Our Thadobati Lingam Bowls have carved rings around the rim and two more sets of similar carved rings on the interior. Our Engraved Lingam Bowls have carving that is deep plucked, a painstakingly intricate process that produces unrivaled quality designs. The bowls sound amazing and are fantastic pieces of art for any home!
Our Lingam Bowls are homages to the Hindu god Shiva who, along with Brahma and Vishnu, forms the Hindu triumvirate. Shiva is a complex god, known for embodying and uniting opposites—life and death, masculine and feminine, creation and destruction.
The lingam (also known as linga or Shiva linga) is a symbol of divine energy, and is depicted by the raised bump on the interior of our lingam bowls. The lingam highlights Shiva's unparalleled raw power.
What can you use your Lingam Bowl for?

- Simple enjoyment and relaxation
Most Singing Bowls Sold Today are Mass-Produced with Lower Quality Metals. Not Himalayan Bowls.
Cheaper metals lead to both lower quality sound and overall experience with singing bowls. Authentic singing bowls are produced by hand with bell metal bronze instead of by machine with brass. Our singing bowls are individually handcrafted in Nepal to ensure premium-grade sound and construction quality and to continue the ancient practice passed down through generations of Nepalese artistans. Experience the difference today.

Tune Into a 5,000-Year-Old Metalworking Tradition
The first bronze bowls were made around 3,000 BC in Persia and subsequently spread through Asia. Our singing bowls are crafted through an ancient process called annealing, where the molecular structure of bell metal bronze discs is altered by repeatedly heating, hammering and cooling until they are transformed into the singing bowls you see today. While it is unknown when Buddhists first began using singing bowls, several Buddhist traditions continue to use singing bowls in meditation practice to this day.
How to Use Your Himalayan Bowl
Your singing bowl comes with a cushion and 2 mallets – designed to produce the vibrations it was crafted to make. Use the mallets to strike the side of the bowl, and consider applying gentle pressure by circling around the rim.
Meditators love to use the cadence and rhythm to signal the start & stop of their meditation session, providing a peaceful guidance throughout their routine. Use the warm tone, gentle harmonics and soothing vibrations to clear your mind & become more fully present.
